U.S Army Youth All-Americans and Fundraiser

The PYFL and the North Oxnard Warriors are proud and excited to have not one but THREE players selected as U.S. Army Youth All-Americans. WR Davonte Nunnery, QB Brandon Dawkins, and RB Chris Davis were selected from more than 4,000 nominees as three of the 44 eighth graders from 35 states to play in the second annual U.S. Army-Football University 8th grade All-American Bowl on January 10, 2010 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The trio make up half of the six players selected to represent California. The game will be broadcast live on the internet at http://www.allamericangames.tv/fbyouth . The U.S. Army-Football University All American Bowl honors the top eighth graders in the nation, bringing them together to play in an all star format on a national stage. It is modeled after the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which is held in San Antonio that same week. The players will participate in the Youth All-American Bowl Week activities, which showcase the top 44 eighth graders in the nation. The week will consist of the 2010 U.S. Army National Combine, practices, a skills competition, and break out sessions with Hall of Famers, current and former NFL stars and celebrities. The Youth All-Americans will have access to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and will be honored during that game on Saturday, January 9. The three stand outs played for the undefeated PYFL Super Bowl Champions Senior Red team. A fund-raiser will take place on January 3, at all five Rusty's from 11:00 PM to Midnight. The three Youth All-Americans will be appearing at Luigi Ortega's (Rusty's) in Oxnard from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The fund-raiser is to help them with their travel expenses for the bowl game. Congratulations to the players. GO WARRIORS !!!
